Reviews
"Hale thee tarpon well
met," is the congenial tone of this book and the author knows his
audience: men like him, safari sorts, well-heeled Anglo sports of the
Empire--masters accustomed to servants... He is cavalier and bold,
launching to the ocean in small boats with doubtful handlers, in which
the oil would have been more profitably burnt underneath.

- Fly Rod & Reel
Tarpon Fishing is printed on heavy paper with a handsome binding and heavy
cardboard slipcase -- another elegant presentation in the tradition of
Meadow Run Press. A nicely written introduction by Randy Wayne White and
illustrations by John Rice add to the attraction. The result is a book
that looks as good as it reads."

- Fly Fishing in Salt Waters
This is a great tarpon book, a fine example of travel writing from the
period and a great addition to the literature of salt-water fishing in
North American Waters."
